How engagements typically run

Every engagement starts with understanding constraints, not technology preferences: budget, team size, existing tech debt, and where the business is trying to go in the next 6–12 months. From there:

• Assess — audit the current infrastructure, deployment process, and reliability posture against what the business actually needs (not a generic best-practices checklist).
• Design — propose an architecture sized to the real constraints, with a migration path that doesn't require a big-bang cutover unless one is genuinely justified.
• Build — implement in Terraform-first, version-controlled infrastructure as code, with the same rigor used on TekMage's own production sites.
• Operate — stay engaged post-launch. Infrastructure that isn't monitored and iterated on decays; the case studies exist because ongoing operation, not a one-time deployment, is where reliability is actually won.
